Skylon Tower and Pavilion
Niagara Falls, Ontario
(in Association with RTKL & ID8)

The redevelopment of the landmark Skylon Tower site marks the beginning of a new era in the reconfiguration of the world famous Niagara Falls tourist destination. In association with RTKL and ID8, Petroff Partnership Architects created a multi-use entertainment destination which would address the needs of visitors and residents of all ages throughout the day and night. Modeled upon the new retail breed of Urban Entertainment Centres, this complex is pedestrian oriented, creates both indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, is punctuated with key tenants who act as activity generators; creating a vibrant, dynamic entertainment development. Themed on local cultural elements including the Falls and Water generation, the buildings borrow language from this famous context.

The Skylon Tower and Pavillion includes renovations to the Skylon Tower building of approximately 160,000 square feet, plus an integrated new building of approximately 450,000 square feet with two retail/entertainment levels above a four level parking structure, and two new attached hotels
