Petroff Partnership
Architects is organized on a departmental model, with Design,
Construction Drawings, Contract Administration and Specifications
operating as centres of expertise, coordinating with each
other throughout the development of a project. We operate
on a dedicated team basis for individual projects, competitive
work, and for work devoted to specific major retailers. Each
project is under the direct responsibility of one Partner,
working with an Associate or Project Manager. Partners are
in direct contact with all levels of staff, ensuring high
standards and effective coordination. The departments are
in fact distributed throughout the office, facilitating interaction
and ensuring design integrity.
The result of an early introduction to computer
technology in architectural practice is that Petroff Partnership
Architects is at the leading edge of computer-aided design
today. We have developed a sophisticated network of resources
and software tools which enables both excellence in design
quality and production capacity. Almost twenty-five years
ago, Petroff Partnership Architects realized that the practice
of architecture was changing and necessitated sophisticated
tools to facilitate development. Our response was to develop
state-of-the-art design technology to meet our client's expectations.
We have perfected the coordinated transfer of files to Clients
and Consultants around the world, enabling coordination of
our work in China, and the Middle East, with Design Architects
in South America, Consulting Engineers in North America, and
the production of drawings in the Far East. The practice of
Architecture today is global, and Petroff Partnership Architects
is well positioned and well-grounded to meet this challenge.
Our production work is produced on AutoCAD,
which we have run for twenty-two years, since the earliest
versions of the software. Excel and Project are also used,
as is WordPerfect in production. All of our staff are familiar
and expert in a variety of software tools, necessary in today’s
fast paced development world. Our primary design tools include
AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, CorelDRAW and Photoshop, and full
colour output is produced in-house, as is much of our promotional
material, developed in Quark Express.
We are presently a staff of over one hundred
people, with a widely diverse client base in the commercial/retail,
institutional, recreational, residential and international
fields. This provides excellent opportunities and experience
for both graduate architects and summer intern students. We
welcome talent in design and all related fields. Our compensation
packages are competitive and our staff international.
